Meet our new intern, Kristen!

Hey everyone! My name’s Kristen Kornbluth and I’m the new intern at K. Loughrey & Associates. I graduated from the Honors College at College of Charleston in May and I’m ecstatic to begin my career in public relations. Hailing from Charlotte, NC, I have a background in Southern food, lifestyle and culture. My dad is a former chef and my mom and I routinely watched Food Network together after school, so my upbringing instilled in me a strong passion for food and all the stories one can tell with it. That passion carried me through college, where I pursued multiple food media opportunities, building myself a path towards working in PR. My PR experience is limited to my senior capstone at CofC, a fellowship between students and Charleston Wine + Food in which we planned PR initiatives leading up to and during the festival. Through this internship, I look to build on that experience and become an expert in best PR practices for food and beverage clients. When I’m not working, you can find me riding my yellow bike around town, enjoying Charleston’s craft beer and coffee scenes, or trying my hand at baking my latest pastry inspiration.
